Onward to battle!
The English Medieval Longsword is based not on a specific sword but is rather in the style of 15th century longswords that could have easily been found being wielded in the Battle of Bosworth Field in the service of King Richard or Henry Tudor.
At a lightweight and well balanced three pounds this fine blade positively dances through the air. The simple design has an elegance and air of deadly purpose.
This medieval sword is an excellent example of the Oakeshott type XVIa with a long grip and a short fuller with a tapered blade for thrusting but enough width for a lethally effective cut.
