Medieval Dagger with Ring Guard

September 23rd, 2011 by TheBladesmith

Here is a dagger I finished recently. The blade is hand forged D2, 0.24″ x 1 3/8″ x 8″ differentially tempered. The guard and pommel are mild steel lightly etched in vinegar. The grip is black walnut. The sheath is 9/10 oz oak tanned leather dyed dark brown with some light decorative carving. It is designed to be worn strapped to the calf.
